AT&T Wireless launched high-speed data services in four cities today, making it possible to lose your cellular signal faster than ever! (I am an AT&T Wireless customer and that whole "how many bars do you have?" ad campaign is totally bogus. I'm lucky to get one little bar if at all!)

The service transfers data at speeds between 220 and 320kbps using two specific phones in specific cities for a premium cost. Subscribers can also pay $5 more to get streaming video and audio service, including feeds from ABCNews, Fox Sports and others.

Nextel and Verizon already offer limited high-speed data service, and Sprint is expected to take the plunge later this year.
