For the record: It is not illegal to be publicly nude in San Francisco unless you are also perfroming lewd acts. Yoga doesn't count.

58-year-old George Monty Davis has been stripping down to his birthday suit and demonstrating a few... positions at Fisherman's Wharf and while most people merely snickered or snapped a Kodak moment, a few people (usually those with small children who, we would guess, would rather have been naked, too) were upset enough to have him arrested a couple of times.

But even in George Bush's America, San Francisco remains blissfully blissed-out. George will likely walk away to strip another day. Saggy he may be--but just because you parade around in the all-together doesn't mean you're altogether lewd. At least... not yet.

Missing the Bay added:

San Francisco is clearly the root of all good in the universe. I live near its alter-ego - DC and feel in danger of police intervention if I mistakenly wear my berkenstocks.
