This Friday you'll be able to pre-order Peter Jackson's 250-minute extended director's cut of The Return of the King, coming to DVD on December 17th.

Yes, that's a 4-hour, 10-minute treatment, fans, which means that watching all three extended versions of the trilogy back-to-back (including the egregiously long end credits listing every single LotR Fan Club member's name) will cost you 11 hours and 20 minutes of your Christmas holiday, assuming you're mad enough to hunker down and do it.

Like me.
