Britain's Prime Minister Tony Blair has been one of W's biggest supporters. He supplied troops and cash for the Iraqi invasion and has stood side-by-side with the man on many occasions, even appearing in a spoof video touting their extremely close relationship.
So why is Blair telling those closest to him that he'd like nothing better than a Kerry White House?
The answer isn't hard to figure out. Blair is head of the Labour Party, historically leftwing and liberal, so more in line with Democratic party principles. Second, a shifting Iraq policy can help him heal some wounds on that side of the Atlantic, where the war is extremely unpopular.
Thirdly, Bush is a dweeb. But is Blair really siding with the Democrats, or merely hedging his bets?
its about 11:30pm, EST & bush seems to be winning.
