But it's not all bad news for the country's bed-wetting liberals, like your's truly. The Republicans took over Congress by winning at least 53 of the 100 Senate seats (the final tally could be 55 seats) and a slim majority in the House of Representatives (230 out of 435)

Oh, wait. I guess that is more bad news for liberals. The Republican Congress is likely to... likely... likely? Hell, let's just throw in the towel now and start turning the calendars back to 1860, shall we?

Aaaaand, most of the state governors are also Republicans (28 to 22).
