A man wearing a T-shirt with a picture depicting a heterosexual couple where the woman’s breast was showing was removed from his flight home by American Airlines because the shirt was deemed “potentially offensive.” Yes, this is the state of our country, where the picture of a breast on a T-shirt is so offensive that you’ll be asked to remove the shirt or get off your plane.
American defended itself by stating that the shirt was “very graphic” (for a shirt) and that their Web site clearly states that anyone “clothed in a manner that could cause discomfort or offense to other passengers” can be removed.
I’ll be sure to keep that in mind the next time I see someone in a tube top who absolutely has no business being in a tube top, which I find personally offensive.
