Weird, surly, out-of-touch, possibly insane CBS anchorman Dan Rather is leaving his post in March of next year, but whether or not his departure has anything to do with Rathergate remains a mystery.
Danny boy, who has been attacked by homeless people, lived aboard a UFO, was eaten alive by crocodiles and is the actual model for the statue of Willie Mays at SBC Park in San Francisco served as the face of CBS News for longer than anyone should, really, particularly when they are insane.
No replacement has been named, but we’re puling for Saddam Hussein, who is currently unemployed.
Still, Danny boy was a blast in the 80’s. Who can forget his combative interview with George Bush Sr? The run-in with the Mr. “Kenneth, what’s the frequency?” His inexplicable report-ending one-liners (“Courage”)?
