In order to prevent the loss of its trademark due to the misuses suffered by Xerox and Kleenex, TiVo is more heavily policing the use of the word “TiVo,” and just so you know, it is neither noun nor verb.
For example, you cannot TiVo an episode of The Sopranos. Nor can you buy a TiVo. You may, however, record an episode of The Sopranos using your TiVo DVR, and similarly, you may buy a TiVo DVR.
And nothing is ever “TiVo-like,” for heaven’s sakes! You may, as much as you like, glassdog something, and you may also “Get glassdog,” and also, “Glassdog you!”
