Now that everyone you know owns an iPod, and you’re all in your cubies ready to start sharing your iTunes playlists, what will other people think about you when they find out that you don’t own a single song by The Postal Service? Not only that, but your precious collection of ABBA bootlegs is all filed in chronological order and you’ve notated which ABBA is singing lead?

Welcome to playlist anxiety, the fear of being publicly embarrassed by your musical tastes. PARC got together with eth Georgia Institute of Technology and provided the inhabitants of the business world with yet another way to make snap judgments about each other.

And if you say one word about my ELO selections, your ass will be having a meeting with my boot at 3 in the Sierra conference room.
