In a move to restrict “overly sexual performances” by its cheerleaders, the Texas state legislature has voted to ban suggestive cheerleading from its schools because, said its author, Democrat Al Edwards, the mere appearence of it leads immediately to pregnancies, dropouts and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.
Yes, it’s true, I myself came down with gonorrhea and had three children in high school as a result of watching the cheer squad shake parts of their bodies at me — and let me add that all body parts were fully covered as well, theirs and mine both, because otherwise I’m quite sure I would be dead from too much suggestiveness right now.
The bill still has to be signed into law by the governor, but I have a feeling that it won’t sit on his desk very long at all. Just the idea of nubile cheerleaders shaking their bodies will start his ink to flowing, wink wink, nudge nudge.
